Work in the commercial sector accounts for a significant proportion of the work undertaken in our various offices. We have investigated plant and machinery failures, crane failures, structural failures and failure of equipment to perform to specification. The vast majority of this work will involve the legal profession at some stage, particularly where a dispute as to causation arises. Reports dealing with fitness for purpose, satisfactory quality, wear and tear, and misuse are commonplace. We can assist by providing advice from the early stages of an inspection up to and including the giving of evidence in court.


HSE Workbook - Investigating Acidents and Incidents

The Health and Safety Commission have recently published a Workbook recommending that all accidents should be investigated. They suggest the use of consultants where appropriate. We are ideally placed to carry out this type of investigation where the report is more geared to advice to prevent recurrence than to legal proceedings.
