Construction and Building
Our construction experience ranges from complicated contractual disputes between parties including construction contracts, to simple trips on construction sites. We regularly deal with accidents involving collapse of, and falls from scaffolding. We have experience of investigating trench collapses and the failure of temporary works.
We
have investigated accidents involving the use or mis-use of construction plant
and equipment, such as cranes, including incidents where equipment has failed.
We consider the use of risk assessments and method statements for work operations
and the training and qualifications of construction personnel.
We have advised on causation in personal injury cases, fatal accident enquiries
and our services have been used in criminal prosecutions as well as in the
Civil Courts.
We have undertaken structural surveys of industrial and domestic properties
and regularly advise on the causes of subsidence damage as well as remedial
works carried out by others. We carry out dampness surveys and investigate
incidents related to the provision of gas or electric services. We investigate
causes of carbon monoxide poisoning such as faulty or poorly installed gas
appliances. We also investigate flooding of properties due to the failure
of drainage systems.
The above is a small example of the type of work undertaken in construction
investigations. If you have any construction related enquiries please click
here and we will contact you to discuss the matter further.
If we cannot help we will try to find someone who can.
