Strange Strange & Gardner is a leading UK firm of Consulting Forensic Engineers with over 70 years experience of providing a comprehensive service in all technical aspects of legal, insurance and commercial investigations. We are proud of our reputation for providing clear, unbiased advice and assistance in this highly specialised field.

We deal with an extensive range of subjects from a variety of sources including legal practitioners, corporate clients, insurance firms and loss adjusters. Our expertise allows us to act in various disciplines such as Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Personal Injury, Hazardous Substances and Electrical Engineering.

Our reports for litigation are produced in strict accordance with court requirements, whereas our advisory reports remain strictly private and confidential. Single joint experts are now frequently required by the court, and all of our engineers are well versed in preparing this form of report and giving evidence.

We have offices strategically placed throughout the UK and we are able to travel worldwide, reacting quickly and cost effectively to the instructions we receive. Our extensive library and comprehensive case history archives ensure that the advice we give is both accurate and up-to-date.

History of the firm

Strange Strange and Gardner can trace its origins back to 1945. At that time the firm had offices in Manchester and Liverpool and was involved in assessing motor claims. The firm moved into employer’s liability work shortly afterwards and over the years expanded and opened further offices nationwide. Our head office remains in Manchester.
